Competitor Tracking
Track competitors automatically with Nebula's AI agent. Monitor the web for announcements, launches, and activity and receive regular summaries.
What you'll build
Nebula monitors the web for competitor activity — product launches, funding rounds, blog posts, and hiring news — and delivers a structured summary on a schedule, so you always know what your competitors are up to without manually checking dozens of sources.
What to say
Search the web for the latest news about Acme Corp, Widget Inc, and DataFlow. I want to know about any product launches, funding, blog posts, or key hires from the past week. Summarize what each company has been up to and post it to #competitive-intel.

Posted competitor report to #competitive-intel.
Done! Here's the summary I posted to #competitive-intel:
Acme Corp — Launched a new API marketplace and published a blog post on their migration to Kubernetes. No funding or hiring news.
Widget Inc — Raised a $15M Series A led by Sequoia. Posted 3 new engineering roles on their careers page.
DataFlow — Quiet week. One minor blog post about a dashboard update. No funding or major product news.
Replace the company names with your actual competitors. You can track as many companies as you want and customize what types of activity to look for.
What happens
Nebula searches the web for each competitor
For each company you list, Nebula runs targeted web searches looking for recent news, press releases, blog posts, and social media activity. It searches across multiple sources to get broad coverage.
Recent activity is identified and categorized
Nebula filters the results to the time window you specified (e.g., the past week) and categorizes what it finds: product launches, funding rounds, new hires, partnerships, and content published.
A structured report is compiled
Each competitor gets its own section with a clear summary of what happened. If nothing notable was found, Nebula says so — no fluff or filler.
The report is delivered to Slack
Your Slack Agent posts the finished report to the channel you specified. The format is easy to scan so your team can quickly see what matters.
Make it automatic
Run this every Monday morning at 9 AM.
Creating scheduled trigger: every Monday at 9:00 AM UTC. Task: search the web for Acme Corp, Widget Inc, and DataFlow news from the past week, compile report, post to #competitive-intel via Slack Agent.
Your trigger is live. Every Monday morning at 9 AM, I'll search for the latest competitor activity and post a summary to #competitive-intel. You can pause or edit this from the Triggers page.
Nebula creates a scheduled trigger that runs this task automatically each week. You can view, pause, or delete it from the Triggers page in the sidebar.
Connect your integrations
This recipe uses web search (built in) and the Nebula Slack bot for delivery. Add the Slack bot to your workspace from the Integrations page and make sure it's been invited to your target channel.
