Getting Started

Your first agent

Create your first Nebula agent — a focused AI worker for one job. A 4-step wizard walks you through identity, description, goals, and review.

An agent is an AI worker tuned for one job — research, monitoring, reminders, project management. Creating one takes about a minute through the + Create Agent button in the sidebar.

Create Agent

1Identity
2Description
3Goals
4Review
Add an image (optional)
e.g. Research Assistant
⚙ Default model

Opening the wizard

In the sidebar, click + next to Agents.

The Create Agent wizard opens. Step through the four pages.

Prefer to skip the wizard? Just tell Nebula what you want — "create an agent that tracks GitHub issues for me" — and it'll build the agent and walk you through any setup.

Or just ask Nebula

The fastest way is to skip the wizard entirely and describe the agent in chat.

Done — Standup Summarizer is in your sidebar. It'll DM you a summary every weekday at 9 AM. Want me to change the schedule or the destination?

The four steps

Pick a name (e.g. Research Assistant, Standup Bot) and optionally an image and model. The default model is usually right; pin one only if this agent needs a specific capability. See agent configuration for model tradeoffs.

A short summary of what the agent does. Nebula uses this when routing tasks — if you ask Nebula to "ping the standup bot", the description is how it knows which agent to pick.

Set one or more goals the agent should pursue. Each goal has a priority and a status. Goals are optional but they keep long-running agents focused — useful for ongoing assistants, less useful for one-shot helpers.

Nebula auto-generates the system prompt and picks the right tools based on what you described. Review, edit anything you want, and Create.

After it's created

The agent shows up in the Agents section of your sidebar. Anyone in the workspace can see it and DM it. To make changes — instructions, tools, memory — click the agent's name in any DM to open its details panel.

Try this for your first agent

Need help? Ask Nebula directly in chat first — it can answer most questions and even reconfigure the agent for you. For bugs or anything unresolved, email support@nebula.gg. See Support for more options.
