Quickstart: your first channel
Create your first Nebula channel, set a bounded goal, follow its task and review the result. Learn where to find any specialists Nebula creates.
Create a channel, set a goal and review the first task. Nebula hands each task to an agent on the channel's team, and gets one when none fits.
Don't have the app yet? Get the apps and sign in first. When you create your first workspace, the app asks you to invite at least one teammate before you go on, by email or with a one-time invite link you share in any chat.

Your first workspace starts with free messages, shared by everyone in it. A message uses one only when it gets an answer. When they're nearly gone, the app shows how many are left, with a button to subscribe. Once they run out, chat and calls need a subscription, with a seat for each member. You can subscribe any time from Settings → Workspace → Billing (Settings → Billing on your phone). Plans and prices are on nebula.gg/pricing.
When you land in Home, Nebula says hello and asks what recurring work you'd hand off first. It creates nothing until you agree to what it proposes, so you can answer it or follow the steps below instead. Home starts with Autonomous on, so Nebula may follow up there while you get set up; it switches itself off once you're done.
Create a channel
On desktop, click + next to Channels and choose Create a channel. On your phone, swipe up the panel at the bottom of the screen the app opens on, then tap + next to Channel (or Add channel under your channels) and Create channel. Name it after the goal, like q4-launch. The dialog also asks what it's for. Write the goal there if you like; either way, set it with Nebula next.

Who can see it
Everyone in the workspace can find it and join in.
What it's for
Nebula and the channel's agents read this on every turn. You can change it later in the channel's settings.
What its Tasks run on
Each Task started here takes this as its own model, and keeps it. An agent's own model wins over it. Chat and Calls always run Nebula's own model.

Set the goal with the orchestrator
Tell Nebula, the orchestrator, what this channel is for and what done looks like. Talk it through on a call - click Call in the bar at the top of the chat, or use the Calls tab on your phone - or say it in the chat. In a shared channel, start with “Nebula,” so it knows you're talking to it:
"Nebula, draft a launch plan for our routing product, covering prospect research, email and social. Do not send messages, publish posts or spend money. I will review the draft first."
Review the first task
Every task runs as an agent on the channel's team, and your first channel usually has none yet. Nebula creates the agent the work needs, or connects a coding agent such as Claude Code or Codex for coding, and hands it the task. If the agent needs one of your apps, the task waits while you connect it.

Open the task from its thread in the channel's Threads box (the Threads tab on your phone) and check the draft. Continue in its conversation thread to request changes.
A task can also stop and wait for you before it can finish - to connect an app, or to approve an action on a device. See Connections and Tasks.

Hand out work
Tag an agent on the team to give it something specific: "@Campaign Coordinator add a launch-week send schedule to the plan." For work that repeats, just say when, and Nebula sets it up with an agent on the team to run it: "Nebula, every Monday at 9am Europe/London time, post a launch status summary here."

Invite your teammates
Your first workspace already asked for one teammate before you reached Home. Add the rest of your team from here: click Invite people at the top of the channel. On your phone, invite people from Settings → Members. They can work with Nebula and the team straight away.
You've finished the quickstart when a task you asked for shows in its thread in the channel's Threads box (the Threads tab on your phone) with a result you can open and review.
